Méribel is most definitely the prettiest of all of the resorts in the 3 Valleys. Fantastic skiing & snowboarding for all levels of ability and lots of things to do for non-skiers, Méribel is perfect for groups of families and friends alike.
With over 600km of pistes and a whole heap of backcountry & off-piste skiing available, the 3 Valleys offers some of the best skiing in the world with something to suit every taste from couloirs from the adventurous to lovely wide open groomed pistes for those who want to cruise.
The valley runs north/south meaning that you can ski in sunshine all day – the Tougnete side in the morning and the Saulire side in the afternoon. Méribel’s logo is a heart because it is situated in the heart of the 3 Valleys where you can get easy access to both the Val Thorens/Belleville Valley and Courchevel Valley. With extensive investment in snow making facilities you are guaranteed excellent snow conditions from December to April.
At 1700m the resort of Meribel-Mottaret is one of the highest resorts in the Alps; that means fantastic snow conditions! Located at the summit of the Meribel Valley it acts as a fantastic link to the Three-Valleys providing direct access to the 600km of pistes available across the resorts of Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. Not only that, access to the Chaudanne in Meribel Centre is also made easy by the Trout Piste, or the free resort bus service. Mottaret's compact size means it is great for families, as most facilities including ski schools are easily accessed on foot.
Meribel Mottaret Ski Holiday Accommodation Overview
Home to some great value accommodation Mottaret is a purpose-built resort which, for the most part consists of self-catered, ski-in ski-out accommodation.
The Heart of the Three Valleys boasts beautiful pinewood scenery, a chocolate-box feel, but also where traditional Alpine charm mixes seamlessly with a vibrant and varied night-life. Meribel Centre itself is home to a wealth of shop, bars, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.
Meribel Ski Holiday Accommodation Overview
Meribel has a variety of different accommodation available. Ranging from small self-catered apartments to fully-catered luxury traditional wooden chalets there is something to cater for every budget and taste. Easily the prettiest resort in the Alps Meribel Valley's chalets and apartments are all lovingly designed and built in keeping with the traditional Savoyard style.
Meribel Village is a beautiful little hamlet about 5 minutes drive from the Centre of Meribel. It has everything you could possibly need; 2 restaurants, a bar with amazing apres-ski, a small supermarket, a boulangerie, a bus stop, the Golf chair lift within walking distance of most properties and the feel of pure Savoyard charm. The Golf chairlift provides access to pistes, snow parks and the Altiport area which is perfect for children and beginners. Skiing directly back to Meribel Village via the blue Lapin piste is also easy after a long day of skiing.
Meribel Village Ski Holiday Accommodation Overview
Similar to Meribel Centre most chalets and apartments in Meribel Village have been built in-keeping with the traditional Savoyard style. The Village comprises of many different types of accommodation; hotels, self-catered and fully-catered chalets and apartments of varying sizes and budgets.
Meribel Les Allues
Les Allues, Le Raffort, Les Cruet, Nantgerel and surrounding hamlets are the origins of the Meribel Valley resort. In 1936 they inspired Scotsman Peter Lindsay to develop a winter sports site further up the valley; Meribel! These small hamlets have retained their traditional farm buildings and chalets, small winding streets and Alpine character. Les Allues has a couple of fantastic restaurants and bars, along with a small shop. Access to the Three Valleys Ski area is provided by the Olympique Telecabine in Les Allues which connects Brides Les Bains futher down the valley to Meribel Centre.
Les Allues and Hamlets Ski Holiday Accommodation Overview
Les Allues and surrounding Hamlets mainly comprise of traditionally built Chalets with modern interiors and mod-cons. There are a good variety of self-catered and fully-catered options available. These slightly larger properties are ideal for families or groups.
