There are also plenty of scenic routes to take to enjoy the Meribel Valley, with 25km of groomed walking paths available. From Les Allues, you can walk through the forest up to le Villard to enjoy the views across the valley, or to Meribel Village to try out the restaurants there, and experience the fresh snow without putting skis on. Les Allues also has its own museum which you can explore to learn more about the fascinating history of the Meribel Valley. You can also walk the Altiport area of Meribel, which includes a forest, and many fantastic restaurants to enjoy.

Mottaret also has a nature reserve in which no skiers are allowed around Lac Tueda which makes for the perfect spot for an easy family walk. When the weather is good, there is parking available next to the lake, or you can get the bus straight to Le Chatelet area of Mottaret.
