Getting the train to Meribel
Step 1. Getting the Eurostar straight to Moutiers
You can now get the Eurostar snow train direct from London st Pancras and Ashford International to Moutiers (or Moutiers-Salins) for an effortless journey straight to the Alps. There are no restrictions on baggage, you can choose a train overnight and get a good night’s rest to arrive early to the Alps. Not to mention, it is by far the most environmentally friendly method of transport. The service runs every Friday and Saturday. It takes around 9 hours on the train and costs around £100-200.
If you are concerned about your carbon footprint, travelling by train to the Alps is certainly the greenest way to go.
Once you arrive to Moutiers train station you will need to either get the bus, or a taxi to resort. See step 3 for more details.
If you take the overnight train, you arrive to Moutiers at 6am. This may leave you too early to check your bags in. Unfortunately, there is no available luggage storage in Meribel. However, if you are staying with us, we will happily store your luggage at our offices in Les Allues until you are able to check in to your property. Contact us for more details.
