A GUIDE TO MERIBEL VILLAGE

OVERVIEW

Meribel Village is one of the three villages in Meribel that has direct access to the slopes. Outside of the main hustle and bustle, it still has a buzz of its own. Here are our top reasons for loving Meribel Village:

It’s one of the prettiest parts of Meribel, made up of traditional Savoyard style chalets. It’s tucked away from the centre, giving you some more peace and quiet, which makes it perfect for families. Meribel Village has everything you could need in one place; a supermarket if you’d rather cook for yourself, a great bakery offering sandwiches and takeaway pizzas, a few bars and restaurants and a ski hire shop. If you are looking for something livelier, then fear not. The Lodge du Village is one of the best apres bars in Meribel, offering different live apres bands everyday, and on Wednesdays the apres continuing until 10pm! The bar is also open at night, hosting various events throughout the week.

It couldn’t be a more convenient location for skiing, as all of the properties are within walking distance of the chairlift, which takes you right to the Altiport area of Meribel. After a day of exploring, there is a winding blue run to take you right into the centre of Meribel Village. If you fancy a change of scenery, you’re only five minutes away from Meribel centre on the free bus.

SKIING IN MERIBEL VILLAGE

In Meribel Village, wherever you stay, you are about a five minute walk from the Golf chairlift, which takes you directly to the Altiport area of Meribel. You can ski straight back to Meribel Village along the Lapin piste.

Lift passes: There is a lift pass office right on the slopes at the Golf chairlift, where you can buy your lift passes. It is open daily all winter from 8.45-14.15 during the week and 8.45-17.00 at the weekends. You can also buy your mountain insurance here.

Our favourite run: The peaceful Lapin piste taking you right through the trees back to Meribel Village.

SHOPS AND SKI HIRE

Ski Hire: Skiset has a shop in the centre of Meribel Village. When you pre-book online, they are offering an additional 5% discount (upto 55% off) to Chalet and Apartment Rental guests when booking online type 'Chalets-Apartments' in the promo code box.

  • Website: https://www.skiset.co.uk
  • Phone Number: 0845197128

Other shops: There is a small supermarket located next to Skiset, as well as a bakery in the centre of Meribel Village. So, there is everything you need in one easy location.
